Yummy mummy Malaika Arora Khan is all ready to launch her clothing line. The actress who has always turned heads for her clothes is now planning to take her fashionable sense out on the high street.
“Malaika is not one of the people who will talk about her plans before she has everything in place like so many others do in the industry. For years she has been playing with the idea but now she feels she is ready to take it to the public,” says a close confidante of the actress.
The actress has been making quiet trips all over the world to see what kind of things are in fashion and what she can bring here to India.
“Malaika wants her range to be as cutting edge as possible. But she also knows what can or cannot be worn in India. She is going to be launching all sorts of clothes - from jeans and tees to formal gowns and dresses. Most of Malaika’s friends turn to her for fashion help… so it only makes sense for her to make it one of her professions,” laughs the friend.
Malaika’s brother-in-law, Salman Khan, has also expressed a desire to launch his clothing line that will help raise funds for his Being Human Foundation while for many years Malaika has been the muse for her sister-in-law Seema Khan who has been a fashion designer for many years.
And fashion is not the only business proposition that Malaika has in mind. The actress is also toying with the idea of opening a chain of restaurants with hubby Arbaaz Khan that will serve cuisines from all over the world.
