With Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone made an indelible mark in the minds of audiences, critics and most importantly, established filmmakers. As her fans went berserk looking at the lanky beauty, many directors and producers were busy fixing appointment with Deepika for their next venture. This has obviously irked many well-known faces in Bollywood.
One such known name is that of Kareena Kapoor. The current Queen of tinsel town is breathing fire as rumors of Deepika replacing her in Imtiaz Ali’s next venture makes rounds. The fact that her Jab We Met chose the newcomer is perhaps just one of the reasons, the other being, Imtiaz has had he audacity to cast Saif Ali Khan opposite Deepika in his film.
Not one to keep mum, she very well made her troubled feelings clear to beau and before you knew, Saif decided to launch a film in his banner casting baby Bebo. As for Deepika, she seems to have enough reasons to justify Imtiaz. She says, “Because a director and an actor have a hit film together, it is not necessary for them to get together for every other project. I am sure they will end up doing some film together.” She adds, “I have a great line-up of films and I’m thank full to the audience, and to the directors who appreciated and trusted me to sign me for their film.”
