Rajkumar Hirani , director of Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai brings the pair of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor for the first time together in ‘3 Idiots ’.
Taking a break from his Munnabhai films sequence, Hirani has commenced shooting for the film that also stars Madhavan , Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
Aamir and Kareena will take part in a 20-day schedule, which will be held at Ladakh.
‘3 Idiots’ went on floors early this week in Mumbai with Hirani directing Madhavan aboard an aircraft.
The film is loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s ‘5 Point someone’ on 3 engineering students.
Hirani said, "We are literally off to a flying start. It was amazing to shoot inside a real aircraft. We are really excited and raring to go."
The film is being produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra , written by Hirani and Abhijeet Joshi. The lyrics are by Swanand Kirkire and music has been composed by Shantanu Moitra.
Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi have earlier worked together in the super hit Rang De Basanti .
