You may accuse her of retorting with the clichéd ‘demand of the script’ response when asked about her kiss with co-star Shahid Kapoor in this Friday’s release Badmaash Company, but Anushka Sharma does seem to mean what she says.
“I don’t see it as a kissing scene. It’s a part of the screenplay. I think cinema is changing and we are not doing (kissing) for the heck of it. We do not need to do this (kiss) to attract attention,” Anushka is quoted as saying by a news agency.
Rather, Anushka says the chemistry that her character Bulbul shares with Shahid’s character Karan in the film, makes the kiss look very natural between them.
“When you see the film, the kind of chemistry Bulbul and Karan share, the kind of love that’s there between them, you will be able to understand that the scene was justified,” said the 22-year-old girl from Bangalore.
This is Anushka’s second film after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008.
