This is an exclusive interview with Abhishek Bachchan straight from the Dubai film festival.
Abhishek what’s the experience of Delhi 6 been like.?
Abhishek: Absolutely magical for me, I truly enjoyed it, it gave me the oppertunity to work with Rakesh, who has been a very very dear friend of mine and somebody I have been wanting to work with for a very long time. It also gave me the oppertunity to work with two of my favorite actors, Rishi kapoor and Waheeda Rehman, and work on a wonderful script.
From ‘Dhrona’ to ‘Dostana’, to ‘Delhi 6′, alot of changes, what do u feel in the same year.
Abhishek: I think it is wonderful, how nice to be an actor working in an industry which produces films like Sarkar Raj and moves on to a ‘Dhrona’, a ‘Dostana’ and now a ‘Delhi 6′. I just think it is a wonderful testimony of the diversity that this industry holds.
How is it working with Sonam, a new fresh face, and looks very nice in the promos of the film, what was it like working with her.
Abhishek: Wonderful, she’s a wonderful wonderful girl, all full of life, and exuberant, she’s always smiling and I admire that about her, it is wonderful to see that kind of confidence she has, because this is her second film and she was put in front of the camera with the likes of Om Puri and Rishi Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman. And these are stall worths and I think the best in the business would be scared to stand in front of and to hold your honour in front of them takes a lot of guts and a great amount of confidence and talent, and she’s really come off wonderful in the film and she’s a wonderful wonderful talent.
Are there any traces of Anil Kapoor in her, maybe you see.
Abhishek: Definitely, she works as hard as he does.
Without the mouchtash, of course.
Abhishek: Ya, I think she’ll make her father very very proud.
