Children today are growing in a world where terrorism is a gruesome reality and mother of three Farah Khan expresses her concerns about the same. She and the Save Versova Beach Association have put together a security system that will protect two streets and twenty societies from attacks. Her motive to do all this is the security of her children.
"Whatever we all are doing today is for the safety of our children, we don’t care much about ourselves. The state and fire drill has been organized for their safety. Two years ago, when I didn’t have children and I saw blasts happening, I used to get very angry after watching it on the news but that was it. But today we have to take action and the safety of our children is our main concern; any harm against our children makes our blood boil. We feel more for our children than we do for ourselves as their safety is our responsibility. That is why all of us are leaving our work behind, getting into the fray of things and putting security in place," says Farah who isn’t celebrating Bakri Eid today as an ode of respect to those who lost their lives in the recent attacks.
On a lighter note, she tells us about her children who will be 10 months old day after, that is, 11 November. "All of them have started standing and crawling. They keep mumbling and playing with each other. They have started talking too. ’Mamma’, ’daddy’, ’gay-gay’, and ’la-la’ are words they have picked up," says the proud mommy.
She further adds, "All of them are smart in their own ways and they understand everything that is going on and pick up stuff very quickly. Czar is very smart; he walks and babbles all day long. Anya is very sweet and intelligent. Diva is a real diva. She sings ’la-la’ and knows that she will get her way if she cries and flashes her smile. She likes to be carried around everywhere."
Farah’s babies will turn 1 on February 11 next year and she is planning a big bash with close friends like Arjun Rampal and SRK for their first birthday.
