Eesha Koppikhar is proud of the fact that her EK VIAAH AISA BHI has opened to good reviews. Moreover, her performance too has come for a special mention and as a sweet and simple Chandni who sees quite some ups and downs in her career; she has managed to be a quintessential Rajshri heroine.
"You bet", smiles Eesha, "Audiences always have a certain expectation from a Rajshri heroine and I had to be conscious about the fact that I do not disappoint them as well as the makers of the film. Now with good reviews coming the film’s way, I am relieved. I am sure the film, though released at a select number of prints, would continue to find an audience over a period of time."
The film was meant to be an image changing experience. Is she happy now since everyone has stood up and noticed her transition from a glam doll to a saree clad ’bhartiya nari’? "Well, I was saree clad in DARLING also though not many seem to have noticed that", Eesha continues to smile, "However, to be honest, I am glad that I have accepted in this different persona as well. Fortunately, I can show this film to my grandchildren. I am proud of EK VIVAAH AISA BHI and would place it up there in my family library."
When she signed for the film, wasn’t she apprehensive about the reach of the film amongst the audience?
"Not at all", Eesha is quick to remark, "Human emotions and family values can never go wrong and audience loves to see an emotional tale if told beautifully. If there is a place for ’saas-bahu’ serials then there is one for EK VIAAH AISA BHI as well."
