The potent cocktail of sex, drugs and fashion will be seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Fashion .
A realistic depiction of the world of fashion could not be complete without sex, adultery, rave parties, drugs and much more. We all know this to be the hidden side of the world of glam and glitz, a side that Madhur Bhandarkar is exposing in his upcoming flick ‘Fashion’.
The film reveals the dark side of fashion industry with such explosiveness that the officials at the Censor Board have been left with no choice but to give the movie an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate.
Here’s a sampling of what might have prompted the board to take this decision.
Firstly, there is a passionate lovemaking scene between Priyanka Chopra and her co-star Arjan Bajwa . Secondly, there’s another sex scene between Kangana Ranaut and her male co-star. Thirdly, there are scenes in which both Priyanka and Kangana are shown snorting cocaine. In fact, in one scene, Kangana is shown giving self a heroin injection. Apart from this there is a wardrobe malfunction sequence in which the objectionable body part has been blurred. And there are also scenes aplenty of models in bikinis.
Now, all this was too much for the Censor Board to swallow. Though director Madhur Bhandarkar insisted on a U/A certificate, ‘Fashion’ has been given an ‘A’ certificate, which means only adults can watch the film in the theatres when it hits the screens on October 29.
The movie tells the story of a small-town girl who enters the fashion world with a dream to be a supermodel, but ends up falling prey to the trappings of fame. Apart from Priyanka and Kangana, the film also stars Mugdha Godse (in the pic), Arbaaz Khan , Sameer Soni and Kitu Gidwani.
