Ayesha Takia has been going around with Farhan Azmi and they have been expected to get married anytime now. Therefore the announcement of the marriage date, which has been set for January, has come as no surprise.
But what has caught everyone unawares is the fact that the actress will not be working in films after marriage. The actress is busy completing her last few assignments like Nagesh Kuknoor’s Tasveer, Boney Kapoor’s Wanted Eead Or Alive, and Pathshaala. She has informed her producers that she will not be working post marriage, though her fiancé Farhan, has not asked her to give up her career.
The actress has always been very particular about her screen image and refused to do kissing scenes or wear clothes in bad taste. Meanwhile, the actress has asked all those producers who have not started films which star her, to find a replacement.
One such producer is Jagmohan Mundhra, in whose Hindi film based on the English ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin, is now without a heroine. Govinda is the film’s hero and now the makers have to start their search all over again. Ayesha suited the role perfectly, as she was supposed to play a young, bubbly, tomboyish bride to Govinda.
