Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai and Tamil superstar Rajnikant are in Peru to shoot their film Robot .
The movie is now rechristened ‘Enthiram’ because its original title ‘Robot’ is said to have been registered by the production house of Shahrukh Khan who was the first choice to be the film’s male lead.
Aishwarya, who has been trotting the globe along with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan and parents-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan while on the ‘Unforgettable Tour’ across the US, Canada and Europe, could not stay in Mumbai for long even though she wished to spend more time with her ailing father.
Not just this, Ash was conspicuously absent at the music launch of hubby’s film Drona in Mumbai on Saturday. She was on a flight to Peru. She could not delay her departure because the rest of the shooting team of ‘Enthiram’, including director Shankar , actor Rajnikant, and a crew of more than three dozen people had already left for the South American country.
This is the first time Ash is shooting in Peru. Previously, she has shot in Brazil for Bollywood action thriller Dhoom 2 .
Despite a 22-hour long flight to Peru, Ash will not rest much there before beginning to shoot two songs for the film, composed by A R Rahman .
‘Enthiram’ would be a mammoth production with international crew. Yuen Woo Ping who did action and stunts for Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Matrix’ and ‘Kill Bill’ has been roped in as the action director while the special effects would be done by top Hollywood companies like Tippet and ILM. The futuristic costumes of Ash and Rajnikant will be done by Mary E Vogt, who has designed for flicks like ‘Batman Returns’ and ‘Men In Black’.
