Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na star Genelia D’Souza has been roped in by Anees Bazmee for his film It’s My Life opposite Harman Baweja .
‘It’s My Life’ is a remake of hit Telegu movie Bommarillu which released in the year 2006. Anees Bazmee zeroed down on Genelia after seeing her performance in ‘Bommarillu’, where she romanced Siddharth on screen. Her portrayal of an innocent girl with quaint mannerisms won Anees’s heart.
Anees has also signed Harman for this film. Harman has a powerful role of a rebel son. He will be essaying the character of Shashank, the son of a big business man who is stubborn and tyrant of sorts. Then he meets Natalie played by Genelia and falls in love with her.
‘Bommarillu’ was one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema and now Bollywood wants to cash on it. Directors like Anees Bazmee have already shown their prowess at churning out money-spinners at the box office. The movie is planned for mid 2009 release.
