Fashion and Bollywood go hand in hand. Be it talented designers working for Bollywood flicks, or actors walking the ramp at fashion shows.
HDIL Indian Couture Week started with a bang in Mumbai on Tuesday. The designer to start the gala show was veteran designer Ritu Kumar who’s famous for her ethnic creations. Her designs incorporated expert zari embroidery, embellishments and thread work in fabrics like brocade, silks, georgettes, crepes and tissues.
The event got an extra sheen with Bollywood beauties like Priyanka Chopra , Neha Dhupia Riya Sen and Raima Sen walking the ramp. The ladies scorched the ramp in beautiful attires designed by Ritu.
Former supermodels like Anna Bredmeyer, Noyonika Chatterjee, and Shyamolee Verma walked on the ramp with the upcoming models like Miss India-Universe Parvathy Omanakuttan and Miss India-Earth Tanvi Vyas.
And the Bollywood celebs who made their presence felt in the aisles were Shahrukh Khan , Gauri Khan , Sohail Khan , Anil Kapoor , Raveena Tandon , Fardeen Khan , Suzanne Roshan and many others.
The second day of the Couture Week saw collections from two top designers - J J Valaya and Ashish Soni .
