"Aishwarya and I have a pretty much same choice of dressing," Shweta said, "we like light, subdued colours in Indian wear and yes, I do think we have similar aesthetics as well."
But the two girls have not had much opportunity to do chick things together.
"She has a busy schedule and work takes up most of her time," Shweta said, "besides, I stay in Delhi."
The Bachchans are patrons of the designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, who make much of the Indian wear the family is seen in.
Speaking about her preference for light colours, Shweta said she had been influenced by the subtle style of another family member: Jaya Bachchan. "Every girl tends to inherit a lot from her mother and my mother has always dressed in a simple and understated way," Shweta said, "that’s one thing I have picked up from her. She spoke warmly of her sister-in-law and said: "The fact that she loves my brother and takes care of him is a big gift for me."
Shweta has two children, daughter Navya Naveli and son Agastya.
