Looks like, one needs to have dollops of luck to actually succeed with a comeback film. First it was Madhuri Dixit’s much hyped return with Aaja Nach Le that left everybody high and dry. Now, though Mahima Choudhary cannot be compared to the dancing diva, one would have thought that at least some noise would be made about her comeback venture, Hope And A Little Sugar. On the contrary, the actress seems to have lost hope altogether.
Having made her debut with Subhash Ghai’s Pardes, after reports of a fall out between the two, Mahima has had a bad inning in tinsel town. However, it doesn’t bother her and she is not at all willing to work with her mentor even at this stage. She says, “I don’t think we will be working together. I respect him as a great director and I think he will make fabulous films with other actors. But we should remain being friends only.”
While she doesn’t have any Bollywood films to look forward to, she is currently shooting for a UK documentary film titled, Pusher. Talking about the experience, she says, “It is tough as the accent is different and they talk differently. It is a Pakistani English guy who has made it. It was a great experience doing the film.” As for Bollywood, she smiles, “I don’t know what will come my way. I am just waiting for the phone to ring.”
