The ’Unforgettable’ tour begins later today, but it’s already become unforgettable for Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his family.
The Bachchan family lost its checked-in baggage on a British Airways (BA) flight and according to the Big B, this is the 18th time it has happened on the same airline.
Bachchan wrote on his blog on Wednesday: “In the room in a hotel in Toronto and desperate. All my bags that I personally checked in and identified at the base of the aircraft in London all lost! This is the 18th time British Airways has done this to me and family. Do not be surprised Torontoans, if tomorrow morning you find me running somewhat temporarily clad, on the streets. LIVID!! More later Love.”
On Wednesday, Bachchan and family, who are on a six-week ‘Unforgettable’ world tour landed in Toronto from London, but their baggage was missing. However, by Thursday evening, the airline arranged to send the bags back.
A BA spokesperson expressed regret, but claimed it was a deliberate move saying as it was a world tour with a troupe of 80-90 people travelling along with the Bachchans, the bags were held back for security reasons.
Reports are that it was not only the Bachchans, but the bags of some other tour members too were held back as it was a huge consignment.
Besides the Bachchan clan - Big B, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - the other stars include Akshay Kumar , Preity Zinta , Ritesh Deshmukh , Shilpa Shetty and Madhuri Dixit .
The tour starts today and performances are slated in Britain, the US, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago and Holland.
