Yuvika Choudhary, who played Dolly in Om Shanti Om, will next been seen in the multi starrer Summer 2007 which hits the theatres on June 13. We had a chat with the actress to find out more.”I’m thrilled that in my second film I’m playing the lead opposite Sikandar Kher. It’s all about life in a medical college. My character name is Priyanka who comes from a small town to become a doctor.
She meets a group of friends who are comparatively rich. She also wants to be like them so she starts behaving like them. The film is an emotional journey of these friends,” says Yuvika.“The film gives a special message to all the youth that when you are careless about something, you have to pay for it. The most amazing part of my character is that there are lots of similarities between Yuvika and Priyanka. I too came to Mumbai from a small town Meerut to become rich so it was great fun working on this character,” adds the actress, who was a product of Cinestars Ki Khoj.
Yuvika says she had a great time shooting for the film. “We have shot scenes in places like Wai, Panchgani which was amazing. I still remember we shot for almost 22 hours in Wai near Poona. It was non-stop but I have no regrets because the experience was great. All we newcomers got to learn a lot.”
Why the title Summer 2007? “Well, we began shooting in the Summer of 2007. As simple as that,” Yuvika explains.
