Vidya Balan has a special monsoon connection. All her hit films released during the monsoons have done well at the box office and she is hoping the good run continues with Kismat Konnection which releases on July 18.Parineeta released on June 10, Hey Babyy on August 24 and Lage Raho Munna Bhai on September 1.
Even in Guru which did not release during the monsoons, Vidya had a rain scene. And of course the film ended up being a hit.
On the other hand, Vidya’s other films like Halla Bol and Salaam-e-Ishq which did not release during the rains were completely rejected by the audience.
When asked about it, an excited Vidya says, “Well Insha Allah, I hope this time also rain will pour its blessings on my Kismat again. This film is very fresh and I hope the audiences will like mine and Shahid on-screen chemistry.”
Her future projects are with big directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Chenab Gandhi” opposite Harman Baweja, Vishal Bharadwaj’s Ishqiya with Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah and Sajid Khan’s House Full with Akshay Kumar which will be releasing next year
It would be interesting to see how many of these release during the rains.
