Imran Khan and Abbas Tyrewala are making their debut as actor and director respectively in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na. Though it was not an easy ride for the duo. Like any other director, Abbas had to face the test of convincing the producer (Aamir Khan) with a script narration. As everyone knows, Aamir Khan is very choosy and thinks a million times before he associates himself with any film. Bollywood Hungama now narrates to you what happened when Aamir first heard the script of Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na.
Imran Khan and Abbas Tyrewala went to Aamir Khan to narrate the script; Abbas started reading out the script to Aamir with full energy. Halfway through the script, Abbas started looking at Imran again and again as Aamir Khan showed no reaction to any of the sequences.
It was funny; Aamir just sat there with no expression on his face and no reaction to any of the scenes. Whether it was a funny incident or emotional, he just sat. Imran Khan started perspiring and Abbas started getting nervous more and more, as they did not know how to react to this.
After a two-hour narration, Aamir Khan just got up and said ’I have meeting, someone is waiting, can you guys wait and left the room’. After waiting for an hour in moments of sheer anxiety, Aamir Khan walked in and asked ’So, when do you guys start shooting?’
Laughs Abbas Tyrewala, "That one hour waiting was excruciating for Imran and me; both of us didn’t know how he would react. We knew one thing for sure that if he didn’t like the script then he would not produce the film at all. But not to have any reactions even in the most funny scenes or what I thought were punch lines was something else… He just sat, got up and left. Came back and said when do we shoot? Both Imran and I were stunned, because by then we had almost convinced ourselves that he had not liked the script!"
